'Qu Shui Liu Shang' is an ancient Chinese poetic tradition of dining and celebration. People would sit along the banks of a winding stream, placing cups of wine or food on the water and letting them drift downstream. As the cups floated gently along the current, whoever they stopped in front of would take the cup, drink from it, or compose a poem on the spot to enhance the occasion.
This practice reflects the ancient appreciation for following nature and finding joy in landscapes, while combining dining, literature, and social interaction into one experience. It creates an elegant, tranquil atmosphere rich in cultural significance.
